Summer updates....

Wow, its hard to believe that summer is already over... We went to Zoo Montana with my parents, didnt get to see a lot of animals, but it was nice spending the weekend with mom and dad. And Shawn got to go to Cabelas. We went to the Lewistown fair almost every day I think, and Landon loved the rides. Landon turned 3 on the 8th of Aug. I can't believe my baby is 3. He will be starting preschool in two weeks. Laine turned 5 months of the 20th of Aug. He is smiling all the time and rolling over every chance he gets. He is eating rice cereal and fruit. He is an awesome eater. He also has been sleeping thru the night for about 2 months.
Landon had his 1st ER visit. He was running around the house, (not Landon) and tripped over his dad's feet and smashed his forhead right into my chair. As we all know head wounds bleed BAD! After getting the bleeding stopped and getting mom and Landon calmed down. And calling Shawn's parents and EMT Uncle Tim we decided he needed to get stitched up. So off to Harlo we went. It took a small army to hold Landon down while they stitched him up. But then he was good to go. He was pretty proud of his 4 stitches...

4th of July

Sorry it has been so long, as most of you know I have had quite the summer so far. I had my appendix out and over ten cysts on my ovaries removed. Didnt heal up quite like I wanted. I got a blood clot under my incision that was about the size of a tennis ball and hard as a rock. I had to get sliced open again, while i was awake... and have it removed. I now have an open wound that has to heal from the inside out. So it has to be packed twice a day. It has been 4 wks since my surgery and im starting to feel better. Praise God!
So anywho, we spent our 4th of July at Fairmont Hot Springs. It was a family reunion on Shawn's mom side of the family. It was nice to get away, but I still didnt feel real great and couldnt swim or do anything. Landon had a ball swimming. He went down the big slide with daddy. And he was swimming on his own with his little life suit. We went to the parade in Butte on Saturday. It was so nice to see Shawn's Dad and family. It was the first time they had seen Laine. They sure enjoyed the boys.

Family Pics

We went to Great Falls Saturday and had our pictures taken at Sears. They always seem to do a nice job. It was a bit of a challenge to get both the boys looking at the same time and happy at the same time. Laine will be 3 months old this friday. He is growing like a weed, and doing so good! Landon is still busy as ever, and would be outside every hour of the day if he could!

Just a few pictures of the boys. Landon and Laine are both getting good use out of our new swing set!! When its nice out and the wind isnt blowing I take Laine out and he seems to like it. Laine will be 11 weeks tomorrow, almost 3 months, very hard to believe. And Mr. Landon has had more ear infections so we are going back to our ear nose and throat doctor next friday. Im pretty sure tubes are our next step...

Nice Spring Day....

Yesterday was one of our few nice spring days. Shawn just got moved to a new job right outside of Judith Gap on the Faber Ranch. So the boys and I took him lunch yetsterday and had a little picnic with him. It was so nice up there, no wind, very peacfull. You can see for miles up there where he is cutting. Landon had so much fun running around and watching daddy run his machine. And Mr. Laine just slept most the time!
Shawn's little brother John has two 4-H pigs. Landon loves to go see them and run around in the pen with them. Its pretty funny watching them play together.

Swing set, Elk shed, and growing boys...

Laine is 2 months old today. I can't believe how the time flies. We got Landon a very early birthday present, and got him a swing set. We thought it would be nice for him to have it now, if it ever gets nice. My mom and dad came over for Mother's Day. We have a bbq, and dad and Shawn put together the swing set.
Shawn found an awesome elk shed the other day. He found it in the mountains by Lavina where he was working. Landon thought that was pretty cool that daddy brought home some big elk horns.

Snowman in May

Wow, we have had some interesting weather, one day I had the AC on in our house and the next day we had a foot of snow... We went to mom and dads the other day and Justin and Mom built this snowman, its funny to see a snowman standing on green grass. Landon and Laine were outside with us all day. They loved it. A lady at church made Laine this hat and sweater. He looked pretty cute in it.
Yesterday Aunt Corinne, Uncle Dale, Cousin Jess and her little guy Ian came through Judith Gap. It was so nice to see them and visit with them. Ian is getting so big, and is so darn cute. Kristi came over too and it was a nice little cousin reuinon!!
Laine is 6 wks old. I can't believe it. He is getting chubby cheeks and little rolls around his legs... he's becoming a little pork chop. But a very cute pork chop.

But its good for me....

So... life with two children has proven to me that things can get a bit hectic. Today when I was in Laine's room with him changing him, Mr. Landon Jack was helping him self to the coffee creamer. When I came out and asked him what he was doing. He replied with,"but cream is good for me mom." Really? Then he asked me for a glass for it. Gross, can you imagine pouring french vanilla creamer in a glass and putting it down like milk.... no thanks!!! Thats my Landon Jack story for the day.....stay tune... im sure there will be plenty more!

Welcome to the Jungle

These are three quilts that people made for Laine. The 1st one is made by Sarah Mauws, the 2nd one, by Aunt Bonnie, and the 3rd by one of my moms friends Sue Caldwell. They are beautiful and mean so much to us. It really means alot getting stuff made from the heart! Thanks to everyone.

Kristi Mauws and Sarah Mauws put on a wonderful baby shower for me yesterday, here in Judith Gap. They did a "WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE" theme. Since thats what Laine's bed room is. They put a lot of time and thought into it. It was so nice. We had a wonderful fruit pizza and some very yummy punch. Thank you Kristi and Sarah, you both truely are great friends and I cant tell you how much it means to me that you did that for Laine and I. It really means alot to have you both in my life. Thanks again!!!

Laine was 4 weeks on Friday.... where has the time gone? He had a check up on Thursday and weighed in at 9lbs 3.5oz. and 22.5 inchs long. He is in the 90th% of his height and the 40th% of his weight. Tall and skinny like his brother!! Dr. Comes thinks he might have a little acid reflux like Landon did. So we have started Laine on Zantac. Another baby of mine on meds already. But if it helps, we arent complaining.
Landon is showing off his new swimming outfit. We just got it for him, because this kid has no fear of water, and Shawns mom and dad have a pool in their yard. So we want to be on the safe side. He was pretty proud of him self in it!!!

Easter Day

On Easter we went to church in Stanford, and enjoyed a nice Easter service. Then we went to Lewistown to my Uncle Darvins and Aunt Staceys. It was a beautiful day, filled with good food, family and hiding eggs for Landon. We couldn't keep Landon inside if we tried so most of the after noon, Aunt Bonnie and Grandma Jo sat outside with him and hid eggs for him. He really enjoyed that. I tried to get a picture of the boys together in their Easter outfits, but there was never a time that they were both clean and happy. So I did what i could. They looked so cute. Landon is getting to be such a big boy. And Laine couldn't have been any cuter! We hope everyone had a nice Easter as well, filled with blessings.

Coloring Eggs...

Saturday before Easter Landon, Laine and I went to Stanford to the Easter Egg Hunt, and to spend the day with my mom and dad since Shawn had to work. Landon had fun at the egg hunt. There was alot of kids and it was a beautiful day. Then we colored eggs at mom and dads. Landon sure had fun doing that with Papa and Justin.
