More Surgeries...

Right after Christmas Shawn saw our family Doctor, Dr Comes. Because his sinuses have been bothering him for years now and he said enough. He had a cat scan, and we found out he has 6 of his 8 sinuses blocked and they all were infected. So we were ordered to see the ear nose and throat surgeon that took out Landon's tonsils and adnoids, Dr Pelczar. We saw him in Billings a few weeks ago, and Shawn has to get his tonsils out and have sinus surgery. He goes in for that on the 10th of Feburary. We hear he is going to be in a lot of pain, and have a long recovery. So please keep him in your prayers.

Landon had his surgery in October, and as most of you know it was not a fun thing. He didn't recover well, and ended up going back to the hospital because of dehydration. He did finally recover and we thought we were in the clear and would have a very healthy kid-o. Well apparently we were wrong. Landon now is getting cronic ear infections. So off to the surgeon again. He is more than likely going to have to get tubes in his ears. It will not be as bad as the whole tonsil surgery but he will have to be put out. We see Dr Pelczar in Billings on the 16th of Feb. I suppose we better get it done, its no fun to have a sick kid, and ear infections are not fun. I think we need to get a family discount with the surgan after all this. Say a little prayer for Landon too, its always scary to have your little ones put out.

Landon Jack

Landon just got out of the tub with daddy, he loves our big tub in our room, and thinks he has to have his dad with him in there. Our room has recently turned into the office, dog's room, and Landon's place to bathe. The office is getting turned into the new baby's room. And dear Abbie's bed just came in here too. Since she thought she needed to sleep with us every night. Just started to get a little cramped. Our two year old doens't even sleep with us, he just climbs in bed with us in the morning for cartoons. But Miss Abbie thinks she needs to sleep with us, so I brought her doggy bed in here. We are just one big happy family all squished into our little queen size bed. But I wouldn't change it for the world. And soon there will be a new member of the family in our room. Anyway, Landon will be two and a half on Feburary 8th. Very had to beleive. He is quite full of it these days. I need to start writing down some of the stuff he says so I can remember, because let me tell you its very entertaining! He is the joy in my life, and I can't wait to see him with his baby brother. I really think he's going to be a great big brother. He tells me every day that we are friends, and when he come up to me and just hugs me for no reason, and says " I love you mommy!" It just melts my heart. For sure he can be a little stinker, what kid can't, and he's two! But he really is a good boy. He loves to do dishes, (if only that would last) and work outside with daddy, or in Papa's new shop. Just today he was over there with Daddy, in his Carhartts (he calls them his work pants). He was a grease bomb. But he had fun, and he was helping Daddy, so thats all that mattered to him. It washes off. I am truely blessed to have such a wonderful family. I wouldnt trade it for the world. Landon and Shawn are my life, and they are the reasons I wake up with a smile everyday, because I am so gratefull to have them in my life. And soon, I will have one more reason to smile everyday. :)

Red Necks!!

Last weekend Shawn, Landon and I went to the REDNECK Nations, the mud bog races. They were at the Metra in Billings! I saw it on TV and just couldn't pass it up. Landon was so excited, as soon as I told him what we were doing, he went and got his moster trucks out and said he had "mud trucks" I ordered us general admission tickets, and when we got there it was packed, apparently we arent the only red necks around. So anyways, we found these really sweet seats. And we just sat down in them, didn't really think about them being reserved. So once I thought about it, we asked the couple behind us if they were reserved seats or not... sure enough we scored some resereved seats, and never got kicked out!!! We got to talking to the two couples behind us, and the one couple was married on CMT's My Big Red Neck Wedding. They are from Laurel. The only episode I have ever watched of that show, and it was them. Kinda crazy! So anyways, it was a lot of fun, and we sat by some real famous red necks!!!

12 weeks to go...

Just a little update on baby boy Nicholls. Well for starters, I think he is on redbull in my belly. He is so active. Nothing like Landon was in the belly. My mom said the redbull must of gave him wings... HAHA! Just for the record I have not had any redbull during this pregnancy. Anyways, baby and I are doing well. I was just at the Dr. on friday and she said everything looks good. I have only gained 4lbs this whole pregnancy. Although I think the next few visits will say different. I feel like I never stop eating! Im really looking pregnant, for anyone who hasn't seen me, "like the lady in the mall said to me" You are very large! Which is always nice to hear when your pregnant and you feel like a whale. But I still feel pretty good. Starting to get pretty uncomfortable at night, and my have a little waddle to my walk. With only 12 weeks to go, you would think I would have the baby's room put together, and what not... but it is still my office/storage room. I know I had better get my butt in gear. I think I am going with a baby jungle animal theme. Landon is starting to get excited I think, I had the baby car seat out the other day, and Landon said, for the baby mom, I told him it was. Then he lifted up my shirt and said come out baby!!! We will see how excited he is when the baby really is in his world! So there is my little update.

New Years Resolutions...

Chances are if you make a New Years Resolution you might break it. I usually never make one... But this year, I thought about a few things I wanted to do. Things that I would actually do, and not just make an excuse and never do. I am sure anyone who reads these are going to laugh at me, but these two things are something I want to do, and with help of my dear husband, I know I will achieve my new years resolutions.
1. Shoot a gun! yeah yeah, I know i grew up in Stanford, and on a farm, and I have never shot a gun. True story. So this year I going to do it.
2. Drive a stick shift! Once again how can I not know how to do these things... well its true, I can drive a manual, but im no good at it. So Shawn is already making me practice.
So as your laughing at me about these New Years Resolutions.... Wish me luck! Happy New Year to all! We hope everyone has a wonderful and Blessed New Year! We know we are blessed! And soon will be blessed again in April, with our new additon to the family.

Ohh Abbie...

So people aren't kidding when they say dogs are like having another kid. Like chasing a two your old all day isn't enough. On New Years Eve, we went to dinner, and I thought it would be a good idea to bring Landon home some of the annoying blowers, and glow stick necklaces. I knew I would be asking for it, when I gave Landon the really annoying blowers... but I knew he would like to play with them. Never in my right mind did I think that the glow necklaces would be a problem.... Landon drug it out last night, played with it for maybe two minutes and through it down. Apparently Abbie (our 10 month old Boxer) decided that would be a good idea to chew on. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner, and I looked in the living room to see Abbie shaking her head like she was going crazy with this thick grose foaming stuff coming out of her mouth and flying everywhere. My first thought was OH MY GOSH, Abbie has rabies. When I got her settled down and looked was trying to clean out her mouth Landon said Abbie ate my necklace. So I was relieved she didnt have rabies. But then I didnt know what that would do to her. I called our vet at home, like a crazy lady, and he told me to call the poison control. Poison control told me they aren't hazardous for humans so our dog should be fine. And she is!!! Thank God. She gave me quite a scare.
